A Silent Candlelight Vigil for Peace, Unity, and Justice

Gather outside of the Winchester Unitarian Society (corner of Main Street and Mystic Valley Parkway) or on your porch with friends and neighbors to silently hold vigil for George Floyd and other victims of systemic racism. At 8PM the church bells in town will ring for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. We invite people to light a candle and post photos/videos of it on social media under #win4justice. We are mindful that COVID-19 is still infecting and killing people, including many people of color, so please observe social distancing guidelines and wear masks.

The event is finished.

The Network for Social Justice has spent years fighting for social change in Winchester — from advocating for affordable housing to providing support to individuals who have faced injustices of all kinds. We need your help to continue to advance an inclusive and equitable community.
