We Did it For You

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote, the League of Women Voters Winchester, in partnership with the Winchester Historical Society, will offer a presentation of We Did it For You open to all in the community at no charge. This musical depicts the brief history of women in America. A high school student has an assignment to research women’s history. She learns this history from the women themselves who come to life on stage. With music and humor that is appropriate for all ages, the characters tell their own stories, from Sojourner Truth and Susan B. Anthony to Alice Paul and Rosa Parks. The show empowers and educates as well as entertains.

The event is finished.

The Network for Social Justice has spent years fighting for social change in Winchester — from advocating for affordable housing to providing support to individuals who have faced injustices of all kinds. We need your help to continue to advance an inclusive and equitable community.
